COVID-19 Restriction updates 30th July 2021

We wish to update the COVID-19 restriction in Uganda as the government has made an announcement on 30th July 2021 as follows.
Prohibited activities
1. Curfew is from 7:00pm to 5:30am the next day.
2. Places of worship, schools, cinema, theater, casino, betting, bars, gym, sauna and steam bath remain closed.
3. Performing artists, concerts and comedians are advised to perform virtually.
4. Meetings, conferences, workshops and seminars but possible with permission from the Ministry of Health.
Permitted business activities
1. Transportation
Private cars with 2 passengers, commuter bus with half of the passenger capacity, bike taxi until 6pm, cargo trucks with 1 passenger.
2. Business centers, food service industry and beauty parlors are allowed to open.
3. Weddings, funerals are allowed with up to 20 people.
4. Entebbe International Airport remains open.
