Uganda, the “Pearl of Africa” is located in Eastern Africa, just north of Lake Victoria (the world’s largest tropical lake) and along the Equator. The Nile River, the world’s longest river has its source (White Nile) from Lake Victoria in Jinja, central Uganda. This beautiful country has a variety of tropical rainforests, savannah grasslands, and marsh lands that feature a lush variety of uniquely elegant plant and animal species in their relatively undisturbed natural habitat.

The giant Mountain Gorillas, the largest primates in the world, found in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to the South West of Uganda are a major tourist attraction. The previously endangered animals have made a remarkable comeback through concerted conservation efforts. Uganda is also endowed with other beautiful animals like lions, elephants, zebra, buffalo, rhinoceros, hippopotami, crested crane and shoe bill birds that can be viewed in their natural habitat.

Following a consistent period of stability, growth and infrastructure development, Uganda now features a good selection of great hotels and has regular international and domestic flights.
